Lindemans wins three design awards at the World Beer Awards 2025
Gold for new bottle labels, silver and bronze for Limited Edition Lindemans Gueuze Dark Cuvée René
This year, Lindemans Brewery was recognised not only for its beers but also for its outstanding packaging design. The family-owned brewery took home three design awards at the World Beer Awards 2025 in London. The new label design for the entire Lindemans range was awarded gold in the "Bottle Range / Redesign / Relaunch" category. Meanwhile, the Limited Edition Gueuze Dark Cuvée René received silver for "Special Edition Design" and bronze for "Bottle Label Design.”
Limited Edition Lindemans Gueuze Dark Cuvée René
To celebrate the 85th birthday of René Lindemans, the fifth generation of the brewing family, Lindemans Brewery released a special edition of 20,000 bottles of Lindemans Gueuze Dark Cuvée René. The design reflects the beer’s deep colour and rich character. The name “Dark” refers to the warm, dark hue of the lambic, achieved through the innovative use of roasted wheat. After two years of maturation in oak casks, the lambic was further refined for one year in 20-year-old cognac barrels.
"This Gueuze is more than a special beer, it is a tribute to my father and his pioneering spirit," says Geert Lindemans. "The design mirrors the beer’s character and embodies our ongoing pursuit of innovation and quality. Having that message recognised makes this award extra special."
René Lindemans, fifth generation brewer, adds: "Our passion for brewing has always spoken through what is in the glass. To see the bottle’s design honoured as well is a true tribute to the family heritage that has been passed from generation to generation.”
New label design for the entire range
The new label design for the entire Lindemans range earned a gold award. Blending Art Nouveau influences with fruit illustrations and a distinctive colour palette, each beer now has its own unique look while remaining part of a cohesive whole.
"With this new design, we have strengthened our visual identity," says Dirk Lindemans. "It represents a modern interpretation of the Lindemans story.”
Geert Lindemans adds: "The colours of the neck foils were chosen deliberately – each with its own character. Together they create a visual whole that reflects the diversity of our range. We are very proud to see our visual identity recognised internationally.”
That pride is shared by Quatre Mains, the creative agency behind the designs: "Lindemans Brewery asked us to visually reinvent the story of their iconic lambic beers; from a refreshed, colourful bottle range to a refined limited edition. These three design awards are the outcome of a creative chemistry where craftsmanship, courage and confidence meet. We are proud of the international awards, but even more proud of the special collaboration that made it all possible."
Internationally recognised for flavour
At the same competition, Lindemans collected 10 additional awards, including three Country Winner titles and one World's Best award. Among the highlights were Lindemans Framboise, crowned World's Best Framboise, as well as the new alcohol-free Lindemans Kriek 0.0% and Lindemans Goyck, both named Country Winner in their respective categories.
The award-winning Lindemans range is available in Belgium and internationally. The Limited Edition Gueuze Dark Cuvée René can be found exclusively at specialist liquor stores and through the Lindemans webshop (www.lindemansshop.com).
